A Legacy of Community & Excellence
Since 1967, Holy Martyrs Armenian Day School has provided children with a top-rate elementary education grounded in Armenian language, culture, and heritage. Today, it stands as the only Armenian day school in New York—a vital pillar for our community that has seen over 300 alumni distinguish themselves as leaders and professionals.
In 1994, then-School Board chairman Nurhan Adarian founded the Friends of HMADS, an all-volunteer group dedicated to ensuring the financial stability of our beloved institution. For over 30 years, these 'Friends' have worked tirelessly to raise more than $1.5 million, ensuring the school's doors remain open to welcome generation after generation.
The Annual Gala Dinner Dance is more than a celebration; it is our most essential fundraiser. Every cocktail shared and every dance enjoyed contributes directly to the next 30 years of Armenian-American excellence.
